Show & Tell Friday!

Show and Tell

Hey......... a first for me......... it's Show & Tell Friday over on Kelli's blog, and I am participating today!
My grandparents were married on April 18, 1921.
This is their Wedding Book........ it is so pretty and precious....... just a few simple paper pages, yet it means so much........
Not only do I think it is just beautiful, but it has the details of their wedding......Grandma filled it in with pencil........
She recorded her attendants, her guests, her gifts, their "first callers", and their honeymoon.
The really REMARKABLE coincidence about it is that it says Gramma and Grampa went "by machine" to San Jose, Stockton, Sacramento and Modesto..... And, here I am years later..... living in Stockton!
This is one of my treasured possessions, and I wanted to share with you!

Happy Friday!

What a lovely momento to have. I think it is just wonderful when a piece of the past is kept and treasured.

Hi Joyce!! What a lovely piece of your family's history!! I don't have anything like this have but many other things that bring me joy, including my great grandmother's engagement ring from 1904. I wear it everyday, as she, my grandmother and my Mom did.

It's nice to meet you, and I thank you for sharing this special treasure!
Blessings and joy to you,
Becky

Hello there! I'd like to introduce myself..... My name is Joyce and I live in northern California, in the beautiful San Joaquin Valley. In 1975, I was blessed by God with a wonderful man named Stephen. Whether or not you believe in such a thing, ours truly was "love at first sight". We were married one year later. In time, we were further blessed with 5 beautiful children, four boys and one girl. Steve was my rock, my protector, my soul mate, and my best friend. We spent 30 precious years on this earth together, and for this I give thanks each and every day of my life. Sadly, my dear Steve passed away in December of 2005. He was such a strong spirit and loving soul that I know he is still here, loving and watching over us.
