Pink Saturday

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday!!

Today I want to share one of my most favorite pink

treasures....

I found this frame at a Home Goods store last year,
it was appropriately named "Boardwalk"

I knew when I saw it I had just the perfect picture for it......

My parents married in 1946........

a short time after they met........

She was a waitress

at a small diner across the street from

the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk........

just 18 years old........

and he was a driver for Greyhound bus lines........

They raised 6 children......
and were married for 54 years......

she passed away in 2000.....

he passed just 3 short months later.....

I have no doubt they are together now.....

playing on the beach somewhere.......

and having a wonderful time....

One of my Mom's antique rose pictures........

it is perhaps my favorite

though it is hard to pick a fav......

everything I have from my Mom

is such a treasure!

And, a pink rose painting I did back in 2005 when I first

began painting.......

And, one of my favorite mugs........

because

a) I just love bunnies........

b) I think it is just perfect for this time of year

with Spring and Easter......

and

c) it is also one of my treasures from Mom...
